CAG Invites Online Applications for Empanelment of CA Firms/LLPs for 2026-27
The office of the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India is inviting Chartered Accountant (CA) firms and LLPs to apply online. If selected and empanelled for the year 2026-2027, these firms may be appointed as auditors of government companies under Sections 139(5) and 139(7) of the Companies Act, 2013.
The online application form, along with detailed instructions and the rules for selecting auditors, will be available on the website care.cag.gov.in from February 13, 2026, to March 2, 2026.
Chartered Accountant (CA) firms and LLPs must consider the following things:
- The applicant firms/LLPs must fill in or update their information to show the status of their firm as of January 1, 2026.
- After entering or updating the information, the companies or LLPs must create and download an online acknowledgement letter for that year.
- If the firms or LLPs do not generate the online acknowledgement letter, their application will not be accepted for empanelment.
- The firms or LLPs must print the acknowledgement letter they receive after applying online and send that printout, along with physical copies of all supporting documents, to this office by March 10, 2026.
