ICAI Enables Filing of Multipurpose Empanelment Form (MEF) 2025-26 Online; Don’t Miss Deadline!
The Professional Development Committee (PDC) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has recently issued an official announcement dated September 06, 2025, regarding the Hosting of the Multipurpose Empanelment Form (MEF)-2025-26.
According to the announcement, the committee is delighted to notify that the Multipurpose Empanelment Form (MEF) for the year 2025-26 will now be made available online at https://meficai.org.
This is a key move for chartered accountants and CA firms who want to be considered for various professional assignments or empanelments, such as audits for RBI, NABARD, and other government or regulatory bodies. The members are advised to thoroughly check the advisory before filing the form for the year 2025-26. The advisory provides guidance on how to fill the MEF correctly. The information submitted through this form is shared by ICAI with the Central Bank of India, i.e., RBI, NABARD and other authorities for assigning professional work to eligible chartered accountants.
- If someone has already registered for MEF in previous years (like for 2024-25), they can use the same login credentials to access the form this year. In case the password is forgotten, there is an option to reset it by clicking on the “Forgot Password” link on the website.
- For those applying for the first time, they must first complete a registration process on the MEF website (at https://.meficai.org/register) before filling out the MEF 2025-26.
The due date for filing the MEF 2025-26 online is September 26, 2025.
